Beginning in 2010, one of the most extensive renovation projects in the history of the Berlin State Opera Unter den Linden took place.

The project

Deficiencies in the building fabric were eliminated with improved technical possibilities (sealing) and the building ensemble was brought up to contemporary stage and safety standards and supplemented with new buildings, such as the rehearsal centre and the underground connecting building between the rehearsal centre and the opera house.

After seven years of construction, the State Opera not only offers stage technology that is unique in Europe and improved acoustics in the main opera hall, but also disabled access for the audience.

BCL was responsible for the provision of construction logistics services during the expansion phase.
