The Hafenspitze area in Dusseldorf comprises two high-rise towers with two upper floors projecting in opposite directions. The ensemble consists of the 19-storey 5-star Hyatt Hotel and the 17-storey office tower.

The project

The two basement floors contain the technical rooms and the social rooms for the hotel staff as well as the necessary storage areas. 

The new building was extended in the all-round glazed and accessible base area of the pier. Conference rooms for the hotel were created above ground and the jointly used underground car park was further extended below ground.

BCL was responsible for the construction logistics planning, for the updating of the construction logistics planning and for the execution of construction logistics.

Special challenges: this is a complex, inner-city construction project with little available storage space.
