On behalf of the City of Frankfurt and the Verkehrsgesellschaft Frankfurt am Main (VGF), Stadtbahn Entwicklung und Verkehrsinfrastrukturprojekte Frankfurt GmbH (SBEV) is realising the extension of the U5 underground line to the Europaviertel district in order to connect it to the city's public transport system.

The project

The Europaviertel is the largest inner-city residential and working quarter in the Main metropolis that is currently under construction.

The construction project comprises a 2.7-kilometre-long line with a total of four stations. The route leads from the underground station «Güterplatz» via a ramp to the surface and in the middle of the Europa-Allee on a grass track further west. The stations «Emser Brücke», «Europagarten» and «Wohnpark» will be built on the surface.

BCL was responsible for the construction logistics planning (work phases 1 to 7) for this complex infrastructure project.
